Just over three days on site for this one, with roughly 160 metres of new pipework installed from end to end. The scope centred around removing redundant runs and installing new pipework across the site, tying into an existing system that wasn’t designed with easy upgrades in mind.
Integrating new pipework into older installations is rarely straightforward. Existing lines are often out of level, centres don’t match, and clearances are tight due to surrounding structures, walkways, and fixed steelwork. There’s minimal margin for error, so every run has to be measured, set out, and adjusted as the install progresses. Nothing is assumed, and nothing is rushed.
The lads focused on keeping the routing clean and logical, making sure supports were correctly spaced and loads properly carried, while working around what was already in place. Where tie-ins were required, extra care was taken to achieve good alignment and avoid introducing stress into the existing pipework. The result is a system that looks straightforward, but only because the hard work was done during layout and installation.
Long days, a lot of pipe, and plenty of sun, but another solid shift delivered. Clean install, minimal disruption, and straight onto the next job.
