Project Status: Finished ✅
Phase 2 of our Oban fuel storage project is now wrapped up. After the solid work we covered in Phase 1 with the pipework installation, our lads have finished off the remaining bits of this fuel handling setup.
What We Did in phase 2
Last week the team sorted out the key loading kit:
- 4 fill lines installed properly
- 5 offloading lines positioned where they need to be
- Two loading skids fully up and running
- All the supporting pipework, brackets and stands fabricated and fitted
- Everything painted and protected as it should be
How We Did It
This project has completely changed what this Oban site can handle for fuel storage. Along with the initial work – over 150 metres of transfer pipework linking three bulk tanks for gas oil, kerosene and diesel – the place now has a proper fuel handling system that covers everything from bulk storage right through to loading out.
Both phases work together to create smooth operations from start to finish, and we’ve gone beyond the required safety and environmental standards.
What It Means
Completing both phases has now given the area a solid fuel storage and distribution setup that’ll keep things running smoothly for years ahead. The team’s focus on getting the technical side right and making sure the protective finishes are spot-on means it’ll handle Scotland’s tough coastal conditions without issues.
Good work from everyone at Kee Engineering – another project delivered on time and done right.
